Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CAPTAIN WORKS LTD ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use CustomChat at customchat.pro (the "Store"). We are the data controller for the data described here.

Who we are

CAPTAIN WORKS LTD, Stoney Works, 8 Stoney Lane, London, United Kingdom, SE19 3BD. You can reach us at info@captainworks.online.

What we collect

  • Browsing the Store. You do not need an account to browse. Like any web server, ours records technical data about each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, and the browser and operating system reported by your device. We use these records to keep the Store secure and working.
  • Contact form. If you write to us through the contact page, we store your name, email address, message, IP address and browser type so that we can reply and prevent abuse.
  • Preferences. Your choice of light or dark theme is saved in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
  • Purchases. If you buy a digital product, the payment is processed by a payment provider. We receive the order details, your email address and the payment status. We do not receive or store full card numbers.

Apps and AI agents listed in the Store

Products in the Store are created by independent builders. When you open an app or start a chat with an AI agent, the builder of that product may process the data you give it under the builder's own privacy terms. Chats with AI agents run on the Captain chat platform and are processed to produce the agent's replies. Please do not share sensitive personal information in a chat unless it is necessary.

Why we use personal data

  • To operate and secure the Store — our legitimate interest in running a reliable service.
  • To answer your requests — at your request, before or under a contract with you.
  • To process orders and refunds — to perform a contract with you.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as accounting and tax rules.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal effects for you.

Cookies

The Store itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Apps and chats that you open from the Store may use cookies or local storage of their own, for example to keep you signed in.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the Store — hosting, payment processing and email delivery — and only as far as they need it to provide their service. We may disclose data when the law requires it.

International transfers

Some of our providers are located outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Where data is transferred, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses approved for such transfers.

How long we keep data

  • Server request records — up to 12 months.
  • Contact form messages — up to 24 months after our last reply.
  • Order and payment records — for as long as accounting and tax laws require, usually 6 years.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and receive it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, write to info@captainworks.online. We answer within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or to your local data protection authority.

Children

The Store is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
